Dreamweaver Earth & Crone Circles

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” ― David Richo

These yearlong experiences invite you into the circle to explore on a deeper level within a community of women.

TIME: Noon – 3p (Winter) 2-5p (Daylight Savings Time months)

2023 SPRING DATES: Jan. 21, Feb. 19, April 2

2023 FALL DATES: Sept. 16, Oct. 15, Dec. 9

Women make a commitment to join the group for several months (we ask that you attend at least four of these circles during the year). Regular participation deepens the circle experience and your own growth. During our gatherings, a safe and sacred container is created. We participate in ceremony and deep council or talking circle, share food, listen to a Wise Woman story, spend an hour outdoors connecting with nature, sing and dance, smudge, laugh, cry and connect deeply.  We will practice mindfulness activity each time we gather so we are connected and well grounded.  In addition, we will continue our deeper exploration of the the Four Directions with the agreement that we learn from and with each woman in the group.

  • Cultivate a deeper connection with ancient grandmothers and medicine-women as well as with the elder trees in our community
  • Learn women’s songs and experience the power of dreamwork
  • Deepen your connection with Mother Earth, her cycles, the energy of the 4 directions and elements, her many beings, birds, trees and plants.
  • Grieve and celebrate the many aspects of the human experience as a woman
  • Share food, stories and sisterhood, receiving and giving support that helps us grow and feel whole, leaning into the truth that we are never alone.

THE WAY OF THE OWL CRONE CIRCLE: meets once a quarter during the year; this circle welcomes women ages 45 and older.

“We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”  – Hopi Elder

The owl spirit animal is emblematic of a deep connection with wisdom and intuitive knowledge.

  • Intuition, ability to see what others do not see
  • The presence of the owl announces change or life transition
  • Wisdom

WHERE: Chickamauga Battlefield National Park

TIME: 2-5p

2023 DATES: Mar. 18, June 10, Sept. 9, Nov. 18

FEE: $25 per gathering (includes lunch, circle materials, and facilitation)

A crone is a postmenopausal woman who is ready and willing to acknowledge her age, her wisdom, her power. Together, we are women who speak our truth from a place of inner wisdom and experience. Crone (or hag) is defined as “holy woman” in early English. However, somewhere in the evolution of the language, the word has become synonymous with old, wizened, wrinkled, and worthless. Collectively, we are grieving many losses: our youth, our work, our mothering role, our aging bodies, our relationships, etc. We are also curious about what comes next — what is our next story? Our next call to adventure?

This circle invites us to: share our wisdom, let go of expectations, learn to care for ourselves as well as for others, grieve the losses as they come, acknowledge our age, step out of our comfort zone, find our true, authentic selves, live with authenticity, and embrace the crone within us.  We will practice mindfulness activity each time we gather so we are connected and well grounded.
